StableDomains runs a remote MCP server, so you can add it to Claude as a custom connector or to Claude Code with one command.
Which URL to use
- Directory-safe (recommended for Claude chat):
https://stabledomains.net/api/mcp/discover. Search, quotes, suggestions, WHOIS, DNS and support tools, with no ordering or payment tools. Purchases come back as a checkout link that you pay yourself. This is the URL listed in connector directories. - Full buying:
https://stabledomains.net/api/mcp. Everything above plus ordering and payment tools, for agents that buy domains for you. Use it with a spend cap.
Both sign in the same way (OAuth with dynamic client registration).
Claude (web and desktop)
- Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans an owner may need to add it.
- Name it
StableDomainsand paste the server URL. - Leave Advanced settings (OAuth client ID and secret) empty. StableDomains supports dynamic client registration, so Claude registers itself.
- Choose Add, then Connect, sign in to StableDomains and approve access.
- In a chat, enable StableDomains from the tools menu and ask: "Find me an available .xyz name for a coffee newsletter."
Menu names can change; check Anthropic's help pages if yours look different.
Claude Code

Swap in https://stabledomains.net/api/mcp if you want Claude Code to place orders too.
Run /mcp inside Claude Code to sign in when an account tool asks for it.
Staying in control
Claude can't pay by card on its own. It shows you a quote and a checkout link, and you pay. Set a monthly spend cap and use a scoped key with the full server. See how purchases are kept safe.
FAQ
Do I need an OAuth client ID? No. Leave it blank; the connector registers itself through dynamic client registration.
Can Claude buy a domain without asking me? Our agent policy requires showing you the quote before paying, spend caps limit what any key can spend, and the discover URL has no buying tools at all.
