The Drop Radar tracks expiring, pending-delete and just-dropped domains and scores each one 0–100 with plain-English reasons. The same data is available as a free JSON API, RSS, JSON Feed, a paid full dataset over x402, and MCP tools. This guide shows how to pull it into a script, a feed reader or an agent.
Real domains. Paid in stablecoins. Bought by agents.
What is in the data
Each row describes one domain. A real row from GET /api/v1/radar (trimmed):
{
"domain": "freephotodating.com",
"tld": "com",
"length": 15,
"status": "available",
"drops_at": null,
"brand_score": 47,
"quality": 74,
"quality_reasons": [
"Real website in 67% of sampled snapshots, ~8.1y of real content",
"Dictionary words: free + photo + dating",
"211 referring subnets (Majestic Million)"
],
"value_usd": 80,
"dictionary": true,
"parked": false,
"spam": false,
"price_usd": 16.99,
"buy_url": "/?q=freephotodating.com",
"wayback_url": "https://web.archive.org/web/2*/freephotodating.com",
"order_body": {"domain":"freephotodating.com","chain":"base","token":"USDC"}
}
Key fields:
status:available,pending_deleteorredemption.drops_at: estimated drop time for pending-delete names.quality: 0–100 score from real-site history (Wayback Machine), Common Crawl presence, dictionary words, Majestic Million referring subnets and spam checks.quality_reasonsexplains it.value_usd: heuristic value estimate.parked/spam: flags; parked and spammy names are hidden by default on the site.order_body: a ready request body forPOST /api/v1/orders.
The response also has a summary block: total matches, counts by status, median quality and the cheapest price.
Free JSON API
GET /api/v1/radar
Free, no key: 25 rows plus the summary. Use the same filters as the Radar page: TLDs, keyword, length, minimum quality, minimum value, maximum price, status, and presets (short-brandable, ai-names, dictionary-com, real-history, cheap-good, dropping-this-week). Full parameter names are in the OpenAPI spec.
RSS and JSON Feed
Every Radar filter is also a feed:
- RSS:
/radar/rss.xml - JSON Feed:
/radar/feed.json - Expiring list RSS:
/expiring/rss.xml
Use them in a feed reader, a Slack or Discord RSS app, or an automation tool to get new names as they appear.
Full dataset over x402
When 25 rows are not enough, two paid endpoints return the full data. They use x402 (HTTP 402, USDC on Base, exact scheme):
| Endpoint | Price | Rows |
|---|---|---|
GET /api/v1/drops/full |
$0.01 | up to 500, with all metrics |
GET /api/v1/radar/full |
$0.02 | up to 1000 Radar rows with quality and all signals |
There is no account or subscription. The first request returns 402 with payment requirements; an x402 client signs a USDC authorisation and retries. See the x402 page for the full request and response.
Alerts instead of polling
If you only care about new matches, save the filter as an alert instead of polling:
POST /api/v1/radar/alerts
{"filters":{ ... }, "webhook_url":"https://your.app/hook"}
You get signed radar.match events (header X-StableDomains-Signature, sha256 HMAC) or double opt-in email when new names match or a pending-delete name drops. Free: 3 alerts per IP, 25 with an API key, 20 events per alert per day. More in expiring domain alerts and drop catching.
For AI agents: MCP tools
On the MCP server (/api/mcp, 32 tools):
drop_radar: filters, presets, summary, value and ready order/watch bodiesfind_dropping_domains: expiring, pending-delete and just-dropped names with a quality scoreradar_alert: save a search and get a signed webhook or emailis_domain_droppingandwatch_domain: one name at a time
An agent can go from "find me a short .com with real history under $20" to a paid order in a few tool calls, because each row carries order_body.

FAQ
Is there a free API for just-dropped domains?
Yes. GET /api/v1/radar returns 25 rows and a summary with no key.
How do I get more than 25 rows?
Use /api/v1/drops/full ($0.01, up to 500 rows) or /api/v1/radar/full ($0.02, up to 1000 rows) over x402.
Do the domains have backlinks? Each row includes referring subnets from the Majestic Million where available, and the quality score reflects real-site history. Check the Wayback link before buying.
Is there an RSS feed of dropping domains?
Yes: /radar/rss.xml, /radar/feed.json and /expiring/rss.xml.
How often is the data updated? The Radar page shows the last update time; checks run throughout the day.
Can I buy a name from the feed? Yes. Available names can be registered with USDC or USDT on seven chains. See how to buy a domain with USDC.
